Dimanche 31 août 2025. Mot d'adieu adressée au Père Diacre Jean

Frères et sœurs, le Père Diacre Jean célèbre sa dernière liturgie aujourd'hui. Il se dit fatigué. Comme l'ancien pape Célestin (1215-1296), abdiqué en 1294, et notre contemporain Benoît XVI, le Père Jean évoque sa propre infirmité. Le Père Jean viendra aux offices et communiera à l'autel, comme il se doit pour le clergé. Nous sommes le 31 août, fin de l'été. Il y a presque vingt ans, ce jour-là même, le métropolite Cyrille, futur Sa Sainteté le Patriarche, m'ordonnait diacre. Quelle coïncidence ! Nous remercions de tout cœur le Père Jean pour les offices qu'il a célébrés avec nous. En guise de petit cadeau, nous lui offrirons vin de cerise polonais traditionnel. C'est très sucré. Lorsque le Père Jean sera triste de ne plus servir parmi nous, il pourra boire un peu de cette douce liqueur et se consoler. Ou, mieux encore, il pourra s'en abstenir et simplement revenir célébrer la Divine Liturgie avec nous. Car l'Eucharistie est le vin nouveau du Royaume du Père (Matthieu 26, 29). Nous serons toujours très heureux. Merci beaucoup et à bientôt, cher Père Jean !

Brothers and sisters, Father Deacon John is serving his last liturgy today. He says he is tired. Like the ancient Pope Celestine (1215-1296), who abdicated in 1294, and our contemporary Benedict XVI, Father John refers to his own infirmity. We thank Father John with all our hearts for the services he held with us. As a small gift, we will give him a traditional Polish cherry vine. It is very sweet. When Father John feels sad that he is no longer serving with us, he can drink a little of this sweet vin and be consoled. Or what is much better, he can abstain from it and simply come and serve the Divine Liturgy with us again. For the Eucharist is the new wine from the Kingdom of the Father (Matthew 26:29). Brüder und Schwestern, Pater Diakon Johannes zelebriert heute seine letzte Kommunion. Er sagt, er sei müde. Wie der alte Papst Coelestin (1215–1296), der 1294 abdankte, und unser Zeitgenosse Benedikt XVI. spricht Pater John von seiner eigenen Schwäche. Pater John wird zum Gottesdienst kommen und die Kommunion am Altar empfangen, wie es sich für Geistliche gehört. Heute ist der 31. August, das Ende des Sommers. Einmal, vor fast zwanzig Jahren, genau an diesem Tag, weihte mich Metropolit Kirill, der zukünftige Patriarch, zum Diakon. Was für ein erstaunlicher Zufall! Wir danken Pater John von ganzem Herzen für die Gottesdienste, die er mit uns gefeiert hat. Als kleines Geschenk geben wir ihm einen traditionellen polnischen Kirschwein. Er ist sehr süß. Wenn Pater John traurig ist, dass er nicht mehr bei uns dienen kann, kann er ein wenig von diesem süßen Getränk trinken und sich trösten. Oder, was noch besser ist, er kann darauf verzichten und einfach wieder mit uns die Göttliche Liturgie feiern. Denn die Eucharistie ist der neue Wein aus dem Reich des Vaters (Matthäus 26,29). Wir werden immer sehr glücklich sein. Vielen Dank und viele Jahre, lieber Pater John!

Братья и сестры, отец диакон Иоанн служит сегодня последнюю литургию. Он говорит, что устал. Подобно древнему папе римскому Целестину (1215–1296), который отрекся от престола в 1294 году, и нашему современнику Бенедикту XVI, отец Иоанн ссылается на собственную немощь. Отец Иоанн будет приходить на службы и причащаться в алтаре, как это положено клирикам. Сегодня 31 августа, завершение лета. Когда-то, почти двадцать лет назад, именно в этот день митрополит Кирилл, будущий Святейший Патриарх, рукоположил меня в диакона. Такое удивительное совпадение. От всей души благодарим отца Иоанна за его службы, проведенные с нами. В маленький подарок преподнесем ему традиционное польское вишневое вино. Оно очень сладкое. Когда отцу Иоанну будет становиться грустно, что он больше не служит с нами, он может чуть-чуть попить этой сладкой настойки и утешиться. Или, что гораздо лучше, воздержаться от этого и просто прийти и снова послужить. с нами божественную литургию. Ведь Евхаристия — это новое вино из Царства Отца (Матфей 26:29). Мы всегда будем очень рады. Огромная благодарность и многая лета, дорогой отец Иоанн!
